| Wow I haven't wrote in forever. So much has happened. Thank the heavens I finally finished nursing school...that was along time coming. In 17 days I will take an exam that will determine whether or not i can practice in my field . I feel confident about it most of the time and then they are the days when I'm like "can I really do this".

| A lot has happened since I last wrote. I guess a recap is in order.
First off, Barack Obama is President-elect and will assume office on January 20th. All I have to say is YES WE DID! I don't think I have watched CNN this much in my entire life.
My last semester is coming to a close and it has been a long time coming. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I even won a scholarship this semester from the Caribbean American Nurses Association. Every little bit counts. With the economy and job market the way it is I hope I find a job. Even though everyone always say there is a shortage of nurses...we shall see. I've been doing okay in terms of grade this year so I need to do well on my finals and these last few papers and I'll be happy. I need to make sure that my grades are up to par, so that I'm able to get into graduate school in 2011.
I went back to La Salle University for Homecoming. Besides the fact that it was raining cats and dogs the whole day, I felt that something was missing. I know the football team wasn't that good but that was one of the biggest events to come back for and catch up with old friends. Maybe in a few more years La Salle will reinstate the team. It happened once so it can happen again. It was nice to see that Apollo Night is still going on. Although, I will not comment on the after party in Backstage. I actually kind of miss being at La Salle. However, I was very saddened to hear that 4 black students were assaulted. That is unacceptable and hopefully La Salle will do a thorough investigation.
Hmm it's currently 32 degrees and I'm freezing and of course there is not heat. You gotta love the NYCHA. That's all for now.

| Now I was suppose to boycott "The Pussycat Dolls present Girlicious" after the catastrophe that happened last year. Basically, the girl who got picked decided not to be in the Pussycat Dolls. However, I did actually enjoy the show. So tonight they finally picked who was going to be in the group, it was suppose to be 3 girls but they ended up going with four. I have no problem with them picking Tiffanie and Nichole but REALLY Natalie and Chrystina. Charyle was more talented than both those girls put together. Natalie voice is not that good but of course because she is pretty they decided to throw her in the group. I'm not hating on the Latinos but gosh this girl can't sing and to TOP it off she has a bad ass attitude. Chrystina doesn't have the mental toughness to make it in the business. With all that said I do actually like their song "Like Me" but that other song "Stupid S**t" is horrible. Please don't think of making that a single.

| So as some of you know, most African American women in the Bronx go to the Dominicans to get there hair done. Now I've been going to this place that is right around the corner from my house. So, I was in Philly this weekend for Mumu's 2nd Birthday. My friend Jen's hair was looking fierce (really nice, bouncy and shiny). So she told me about Maritza House of Beauty in Harlem. Well I was MORE than happy with the work that was done. I have really thick and well let's be honest nappy hair. After she was done blowing my hair out, you would have thought that I received a relaxer. My hair was so soft and I could actually feel the roots and all for the wonderful price of $18 . Since I haven't been on Xanga in a while I figured I would write about it. I'll probably be writing tomorrow because I'm going to the Bodies Exhibit at South Street Seaport...fun times . I'm trying to enjoy some of my spring break, although most of it will be spent doing papers and studying for exams .

| It's sad to say but I'm looking forward to the new Season of Making the Band 4 on January 28th. It's my guilty pleasure. Damn but I start school that day. I guess I will be hollering at TiVO (the greatest man made invention).
